A Basic Upgrade 2 is a mid-level Efficiency Module placed in a crafting station’s Module Component slot to reduce both resource consumption and craft time for work orders on that station. As the second of five quality tiers, it fits between the Basic Upgrade 1 and the Basic Upgrade 3, with each higher tier providing a greater efficiency benefit (up to roughly 25% total in Update 13). For a practical tip, note that upgrading to Basic Upgrade 2 requires the station to be inside a valid room—so before producing it, ensure your workshop is properly enclosed with walls, a roof, doors, and windows.
