⚠️ Eco v0.14 is coming — the next major update reworks upgrade modules, so some of these numbers will change. They reflect the current version. What’s changing →
  • Simpler tiers: the 1–4 tiered upgrades become a single Basic / Advanced / Modern upgrade each.
  • Permanent upgrades: a module placed in a workstation is permanent — no more swapping lower tiers out as you progress.
  • Power transitions: a module can change a station’s power type/draw (e.g. a Modern upgrade moves a sawmill from mechanical to electrical power).
  • Talent-integrated: modules now use the same bonus/talent system — any talent benefit (power, labor cost, recipe unlocks) can come from a module.
  • Cheaper to upgrade: with the multi-tier parts gone, fully upgrading a workstation costs significantly less.

We’ll update this calculator shortly after the update releases.

Dinner Parties

Attending Dinner Parties will generate culture for your settlement, as well as a skill bonus to your nutrition. They are a valuable way to increase the culture generation of the world by connecting Citizens over shared meals.

Requirements

A dinner party will be triggered when valid food is eaten at a location. The requirements are:
- Dining while seated at a table. Citizens must be seated, and eat food directly from the table (without picking it up into your inventory).
- Fresh food only. Food must be fresh to qualify for dinner parties.
- Max dinner parties per day. A limited number of dinner parties per day per person is enforced (defaults to 1).
- No repeated food. Dinner parties can have multiple courses, up to a given maximum, but no food may be repeatedly fed to the same player.
- Claimed land. Dinner party must be taking place on claimed property.
- Come hungry! You can only eat as many courses (up to a maximum defined below) to fill your stomach.

Freshness

Upon creation, any food created by recipe will only be fresh enough for a dinner party for a number of minutes (defined in Config below), thus you'll need to have a chef preparing the meals in real time.
Raw food can be much older and still qualify for dinner parties, however. Freshness will be visible on the food when placed on the table, which will have either steam or other effects to indicate highly-fresh food. You can see how many minutes are left on the food by hovering over it.

Bonuses

The value of the dinner party can be increased by following these guidelines:
- More guests. The more guests involved in the party, the higher the potential bonus.
- Attendees from multiple settlements. Dining with citizens not in a settlement, or all from a single settlement, will generate little culture. To get a significant Dinner Party bonus, you need to have citizens from multiple settlements attending.
- Average Nutrition. The average nutrient value of the food will be converted to culture points via a multiplier (below).
- Tastier food. The value of each course is determined by the individual taste bonuses that a citizen has, the tastier they find the food the larger the bonus.
- Nicer venue. The property value of the deed on which the dinner party is held will determine the maximum bonus.

Benefits

Dinner parties will decay in value overtime, until reaching zero, after which they are removed from bonuses. You can see the active Dinner Party bonuses you have by looking at the nutrition tooltip.

Dinner parties will end when the host clicks 'Finish', or after the designated time limit, or when everyone is too stuffed to eat another bite.
